11:00 am New Member Orientation
12:00 pm Opening Reception/Lunch (hosted by UCI)
1:00-3:00 pm General Meeting (La Jolla Ballroom)
-CaCCCHE ice-breaker, Business, Center Updates, Elections
3:00 pm Tour UCI Cross-Cultural Centers and other relevant locations on UCI campus
8:00 pm Time for hotel check-in (shuttles available)
6:00 pm UCI hosted Dinner (CaCCCHE members and families) @ UCI
 
Thursday, July 17th (UCI CCC)
8:30 am Continental Breakfast
9:00 am Facilitated Dialogue: Sustainability of Our Work, Our Selves, and Our Own Professional Growth.
12:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm Concurrent Sessions (based on member feedback – possible topics suggested include:
  • Mentoring programs for 1st year multi-cultural student Educational programs for campus
  • Access and equity issues for underrepresented students
  • Best practices in programs and services
  • Share information on academic preparation programs at the different campuses
  • Research on cultural and community centers
  • Service to undocumented students (AB540) who look to us for support
  • Alternative Funding sources for our centers (such as grants, foundations, etc...)
  • Assessment: how to conduct campus climate surveys, how to use the survey, etc...
  • Multiracial Identity Development: are we welcoming to students who self identify as mixed, multi-ethnic, or of mixed identity
  • Multi-cultural Greek System
3:00 pm Networking and Community Building (small group dialogue, self-selected depending on topic of interest) – Transportation will be available to off-campus location
5:00 pm No-Host Dinner (Location TBA, transportation provided)
8:00 pm CaCCCHE Evening Gathering (optional)
 
Friday, July 18th (UCI)

9:00 pm Professional Development Andrew Jolivette (Associate professor in American Indian Studies, Educational Leadership, and Critical Race and Resistance Studies, San Francisco State University) speaking on “Social Justice as a Practice of Freedom, Multiplicity and Community Transformation
12:00 pm Host (CaCCCHE) Lunch
1:00 pm Debrief Andrew Jolivette’s session/Goal Setting for Personal and Professional Development
2:00 pm CaCCCHE Founders’ Panel: Where Have We Come From?
5:00 pm CaCCCHE E-Board: What Does the Next 10 Years Hold for CaCCCHE?
5:30 pm CaCCCHE-hosted 10 Year Anniversary Dinner and Celebration
